Tracers
Density Tracers
Tracers are synthetic particles, designed to mimic selected properties of particles in a plant feed stream. Those properties may include density, x-ray luminesence and magnetic susceptibility. Following partitioning in a density separator (dense medium cyclone, bath, vessel, jig) or x-ray luminescence sorter, the tracers are collected from (or detected in) the separated streams so that an efficiency curve – the KPI for a density separation – can be drawn. This facilitates process optimisation and extraction of maximum value.
Partition curves are generated in the coal, diamond, lithium, manganese and iron ore industries and in research applications. Tracers may also be used for tracking the progress of ore or product streams from pit to plant through to stockpiles, rail and shipping.

Quality Assurance
Poor quality density tracers can generate misleading results and can drastically affect your bottom line. Yield and product quality are both at risk.
We maintain precise control of density and other characteristics, by working with small production quantities. Tracers from each production batch are tested. For some classes, if densities are not accurate to 100% within +/- 0.005 g/cc the entire batch is discarded. To demonstrate this precision, for such tracers every shipment includes a test certificate showing test results for every batch in every size and density fraction.
Ensure you get the most out of your DMCs by using Partition Enterprises density tracers.
Partition Enterprises’ reputation rests largely on its ability to demonstrate to clients that our quality control procedures are highly reliable.
